Homeless families and children face many challenges as they work to regain a home of their own. Through a partnership with the Charleston Bank Consortium and with funding from the South Carolina Housing Trust, the City of Charleston and community donors, Crisis Ministries is excited to announce the creation of the Transitional Living Center (TLC) for Homeless Families, designed to provide a place for homeless families to reside while planning a return to community-based housing.
The location on E Street, just one block from Crisis Ministries' main shelter and Family Center, ensures that families continue to receive essential services while developing skills for independent living. The TLC will provide parents and children with a place to call home and a safe environment in which they may heal, grow and stabilize.
