Children's Own Art
"Mario Montenegro sings the stories his children tell him.
He sits on the floor with his guitar in a circle of kids and the kids- or rabbits- tell him the story of the seventy rabbits who climbed on the top of each other to kiss the giraffe; or they tell him the story of the blue rabbit who was all alone in the middle of the sky: a star took the blue rabbit for a walk around the sky and they visited the moon, which is a big white round land all full of holes and they spun around in space and jumped on the cottony clouds, and then the star got tired and went back to the land of stars, and the rabbit went back to the land of rabbits, and there he ate corn and shat and went to sleep and dreamed that he was a blue rabbit all alone in the middle of the sky."
The Book of Embraces, Eduardo Galeano
